"...Within a couple of weeks of finishing his last exam, Liam got a job at Tara Oilfield Services in Didsbury. For the first while, perhaps two or three months, Liam worked on the shop floor. Eventually, his employer gave him the occasional opportunity to do some welding. He started welding more and more and is now welding full-time, working on his apprenticeship! He works from 7 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, along with the occasional Saturday. He absolutely loves his job!!...

Please, please, please continue to not only offer the dual credit program but expand it! There are so many other "Liams" out there, unable to explore yet to be developed gifts that cannot be revealed sitting in a classroom. I understand that it must be incredibly challenging to coordinate the students' schedules, between their high school classes and those at the college. Like I said earlier, however, this is a life-changing opportunity. I shudder to think what Liam would be doing now had he not been given this incredible gift. Success breeds success. The dual credit welding program showed Liam that he can be and is successful. All of our students are deserving of such an opportunity."
