Find out what our articulation committees are up to, by reading about their mandates, achievements, publications and membership.
There are two types of articulation committees:
- ACAT Articulation Committees: Alberta Transfer and Pathways System-led subject area or pathways-specific committees that are supported by ACAT's governance and help foster learner pathways and mobility in Alberta. Committees are comprised of voluntary post-secondary institution and other stakeholder and government members that receive support for facilitation of governance, issues identification and awareness, and operations from the ACAT Secretariat in Advanced Education. Committees promote relationship-building and collaboration among subject area and pathways representatives to share curricular and pathways updates and system recommendations and issues with one another and with government, collaborate on admissions and transfer and new pathways opportunities, and find possible solutions to shared mobility or pathways challenges.
- Affiliated Committees: Independently led Alberta Transfer and Pathways System subject area or pathways-specific committees that help foster learner pathways and mobility in Alberta. Affiliated committees are comprised of voluntary post-secondary institution, organization, and other stakeholder members that do not receive direct support for facilitation of governance and operations from the ACAT Secretariat in Advanced Education. Similar to articulation committees, affiliated committees also promote relationship-building and collaboration among subject area and pathways representatives to share curricular and pathways updates and system recommendations and issues with one another and with government, collaborate on admissions and transfer and new pathways opportunities, and find possible solutions to shared mobility or pathways challenges.
If you don’t see an articulation committee related to your educational knowledge area or pathway, we encourage you to recommend creation of a new committee.
